What Is FRL?
FRL was the born from a mad idea to raise money for homeless UK veterans by driving convertibles around the M25 in the middle of winter with the roof down! It started as a group of MG enthusiasts but has since grown to include owners of any and every type of convertible you can imagine,but with the same purpose - roof down no matter the weather, and raise as much money as possible for the
UK Homes4Heroes Pride & Passion registered charity.
February 2024's run will be the 12th edition and so far has raised the outstanding amount of over £88,000 for this truly worthy cause!
So why drive the M25 with the roof down in the middle of winter?
Homeless veterans living on the streets have to survive whatever the weather or temperature. For just a couple of hours the drivers of these cars will experience a little of the elements for themselves, albeit from the seat of a comfortable vehicle. It's the least we can do....

FUNDRAISING FOR UK HOMES 4 HEROES PRIDE & PASSION
Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am about to face my fear of heights for a very worthy cause: UK Homes 4 Heroes. This incredible organization not only places ex-service personnel into homes but also provides outreach services, offering hot food, drinks, support, and advice to those who have served our country.
The challenge I am undertaking is to zip line across the Grand Canyon (Gulp!). This thrilling experience is not just about conquering my fears; it’s about raising awareness and funds for those who have sacrificed so much for us. Every contribution counts and will directly support the vital work that UK Homes 4 Heroes does.

SKINS ON THE LASH 9 6th MARCH 2025
Skins on the Lash returns for its 8th year based around the Levante area of Benidorm.
We continue as an invite only, wristband event so expect a heavy dose of ska and reggae, plus our invasion nights.
On Thursday 7th we'll be invading Jail Rock for their live entertainment including Carnaby Street. We will be returning to Jokers for our Friday & Saturday entertainment. We will also continue with our Fancy dress party night and our tribute to Mick Keithley (founder member). Prizes for best male, female and group.
Wristband entry: £15 each from Sally Payne which includes SotL badge, wristband, P&P and a donation to our charities.
We will be supporting UK Homes 4 Heroes Pride & Passion (UK) - helping veterans off our streets.

To raise funds for UK Homes 4 Heroes some of the Ambassadors came up with the idea of a charity walk through the heart of London. We successfully completed the walk last year, raised a lot of money and will be doing it again this year. Next year we will plan to do something a bit different.
We chose this date as to try and avoid other events going on so apologies if it clashes with something else.
The walk consists of crossing 12 of the bridges that span the Thames. The 8 mile Walk starts at Cadogan Pier next to Albert bridge and ends at Tower Bridge/Tower of London. The nearest tube station is Sloane Square.
We ask those taking part to meet at Cadogan Pier for 10am with the view to start at 10:30am.
We have designed a T-shirt that we wore last year, I will see if Michael T will be happy to make some more for anyone who doesn’t have one.
We ask that each person taking part sets up their own Just giving page for the event and adds themself to the Team group page….

£15 Entry - Skathend Events Presents ‘Best of British’ Weekender with Friday 25th April seeing The Cockney Knights performing along with DJ support on Saturday 26th April we have The Scoots playing 60s/mod later we have Scott Elvis performing Elvis as well as English Rock’n’ Roll performers and to end the evening we have Ten Tonne Ska - with support from your DJs through the weekend Stevie-Boy, Franksta, The Toughest, DJ Mossy Moss and Skaman London - food will be available throughout the day from the venue - we will also be raising funds for UK Homes for Heroes
KEVIN DOWNEY is running his 36th LONDON MARATHON
for UK HOMES 4 HEROES PRIDE & PASSION
On the 27th of April 2025 I will be running my 36th London Marathon. ( I know i did say I WOULDNT run again after number 35) BUT was offered a place in this fantastic charity (HOME 4 HEROES) & just COULDNT turn it down.
HOPE I HAVENT/DIDNT disappointed anyone thinking it was my last BUT this is a small charity and needs every single penny youwe can raise/donate. I thank you from the bottom of my heart was kinda explain how I feel.

Here's To The Heroes is a fundraising event to raise money for the charity UK Homes 4 Heroes.
We will have several Bands plus Djs keeping you entertained throughout the day.
Plus a raffle to help raise those extra few pounds.

About the show
Spread over 150 acres, the show promises to be the last Hurrah of the season. Whether you come with your family and friends or as a participant, Battles Through History will transport you to another era.
You will be surrounded by interactive living history displays spanning 2000 years of military history. There will be military vehicles, authors, wargamers and model makers. There will be helicopters and flypasts, live music and marching bands, a couple of bars, interactive activities and plenty of food and drink! If you come for the weekend you can also enjoy the evening entertainment for an unforgettable night!
We are very happy to announce that this year we will be supporting 8 charities. They all do amazing things for incredible people, so we really hope that they do well at the show.
